Shipping and Receiving Associate

Purpose and Scope We are expanding our Operations Team with the addition of a Shipping and Receiving Associate. In this role you will report directly to Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to provide leadership in the tasks as outlined below. Compensation: Range of compensation: $20 - $24 per hour depending on experience and skills. Benefits: Full menu of Benefits, from Health Care to Profit Sharing Start Date: ASAP Location: Costa Mesa, California Major Duties and Responsibilities: To continue our tradition of excellence, you will join your team in performing the following tasks… • Process all inbound and outbound shipments including but not limited to: sorting, logging, delivering, packing, labeling and shipping. • Audit each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match the sales order. • Pack and label products based on established standards. • Prepare shipping and receiving documentation; maintain orderly files for all documentation. • Participate in scheduling of daily transportation. • Process all receiving transactions and paperwork. • Inspect all incoming freight for damage; follow-up with appropriate staff to resolve issues. • Assist in maintaining material inventory levels. • Assist in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in warehouse shipping and receiving area. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Required Skills and Competencies: The ideal candidate will have the following experience: • 1+ years related experience or equivalent in a shipping and receiving/warehousing role. • Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods. • Experience with processing international shipments and familiarity with customs documentation requirements. • Commitment to excellence, organization, and high standards. • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience interfacing with ERP and warehousing software. • Able to stand for extended periods of time. • Ability to manage priorities and workflow. • Acute attention to detail. • Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written). • Valid forklift license. • Must have valid driver’s license.
